THE STUDIO is a creative fabrication space optimized for the fashion design/manufacturing process. Through a combination of high-level courses & open-studio creation time, students gain access to an enviroment meant to advance their design skills and accellerate the learning process.

Students will have oppertunities to introduce new techniques/tools into their workflow such as tailoring, leather accessories and apparel, metal finishings, large moodboards, printed reference material, advanced books on garment creation, patternmaking tables and many other resources.

Intentionality thrives in a space like this - every detail is sacred to the integrity of one‘s work, and none go unappriciated. If apparel design and creation are important to you, let this be your playground.
From Aidan:

Currently, this is my personal workshop. I use it as a hub for research reguarding manufacturing practices, patternmaking and tailoring. I adore what I do and want to do my part to expand fashion design to the widest market possible. This artform is vast and creates some of the most engaging artistry for my generation, but is often witheld behind paywalls, social elitism and personal gatekeeping. I want to change that. I want others to have the opportunity to fall in love with this craft the same way I did, without the many headaches and barriers often in the way.

As I develop curriculum for various classes and workshops, I hope to see many others excited about the design process join me and create new communities full of support and care for one another, all to make each of us the strongest artist/designer we can be. I appriciate all who contribute and want to make access to this space as viable as possible for the lowest price i can. If you decide to join for even one of these courses, I want to trule thank you for taking a chance on me and helping turn this dream into a reality.

About Me:

Hi. I’m Aidan Roof - a fashion designer, educator and lover of advanced art and design. I’ve spent years devoting myself to a multitude of creative mediums, including photography, video production, garment design, electronic music, 3d modeling and much more. Just ask my mom how many ‘phases’ i’ve had in my life (magic was a fun one in middle school).

Formally, Ive studied fashion and art at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, CU Boulder, and most recently, a visiting semester at Parsons Paris. These educational experiences shaped my understanding of fashion, community, learning and what it means to love what you do. Now, as I venture off into the world, I want to keep education and equitable access to resources as a priority. To give others oppertunities I had to fight for by myself.

While my personal body of work focuses on a playful approach to classical tailoring, I take inspiration
